Job Title: HGS Student Council (STUCO) Sponsor

Reports To: Building Principal

Job Summary:
The HGS STUCO Sponsor is responsible for guiding and supporting the student council in promoting leadership, school spirit, and student involvement. This role helps students develop organizational, communication, and leadership skills while planning and executing school-wide activities and service projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and supervise regular student council meetings
• Guide students in planning school events, activities, and service projects
• Encourage student leadership, responsibility, and teamwork
• Assist students in developing agendas, taking minutes, and following proper meeting procedures
• Coordinate fundraising efforts and ensure compliance with school policies
• Collaborate with school staff and administration on student initiatives
• Promote positive school culture and student engagement
• Oversee student elections and ensure fair processes
• Monitor and manage the student council budget (if applicable)
• Provide supervision at STUCO-sponsored events, which may occur outside regular school hours
